Description

  • Coach the team on Scrum and the Agile Manifesto while facilitating Agile ceremonies in a hands-off manner.
  • Build self-managing teams by creating a safe environment that supports learning, experimentation, and improvement.
  • Partner closely with the Product Owner to improve backlog ordering, value delivery, and Agile boundaries.
  • Own Agile metrics and use data to identify insights, drive continuous improvement, and protect team flow.
  • Push back constructively on unrealistic delivery dates using evidence and data.
  • Manage stakeholders under executive scrutiny and escalate concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Support long-term team maturity and help other Scrum Masters across the organization.
  • Design and run workshops, mindset exercises, and team-building games as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong command of the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto.
  • Operating at or near an agile-coach level, with experience beyond early-career stage.
  • This is a dedicated Scrum Master role; combined roles such as Scrum Master/Business Analyst are not a fit.
  • Proven experience coaching and facilitating without authority.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile metrics and the ability to interpret data to improve delivery.
  • Fluency in scaling approaches such as scrum-of-scrums and the judgment to apply them appropriately.
  • Confidence in managing stakeholders under scrutiny and escalating concerns effectively.
  • Experience designing and running workshops, mindset exercises, and games for teams.
  • Ability to read team health through behavior, tone, and interpersonal dynamics.
  • A track record of helping teams move from cost-centre thinking to high-performing, mission-driven teams.
