Description

  • Coach teams on Scrum and the Agile Manifesto while facilitating core Agile ceremonies in a hands-off, enabling style.
  • Build self-managing teams and help create a safe environment for experimentation, learning, and improvement.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to support backlog ordering, value creation, and clear agile boundaries.
  • Own agile metrics and use data to identify improvement opportunities and challenge unrealistic delivery expectations.
  • Manage stakeholders under executive scrutiny and escalate concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Drive continuous improvement over the long term by supporting team maturity and collaborating with other Scrum Masters.
  • Design and run workshops, mindset exercises, and team games for new and existing teams.
  • Read team health through behavior, tone, and interpersonal dynamics to guide coaching interventions.

Requirements

  • Strong command of the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto.
  • Experience operating at or near an agile coach level; this is not an early-career role.
  • This is a dedicated Scrum Master position and not a combined role such as Scrum Master/Business Analyst.
  • Proven experience coaching and facilitating without authority.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile metrics and the ability to interpret data to improve team flow.
  • Fluency in scaling approaches such as scrum-of-scrums and the judgment to apply them appropriately as the organization grows.
  • Confidence managing stakeholders under scrutiny and escalating concerns effectively.
  • Experience designing and running workshops, mindset exercises, and games for teams.
  • Ability to assess team health through behavior, tone, and human interaction.
  • Demonstrable experience helping teams shift from cost-centre thinking to high-performing, mission-driven ways of working.
