Description

  • Develop a data and cloud migration framework for migrating on-premise assets to Snowflake and Azure.
  • Assist with migrating data, databases, stored procedures, and software assets to cloud platforms.
  • Maintain and improve software solutions and infrastructure.
  • Develop new solutions and enhance existing applications.
  • Establish engineering best practices for deployment and management of cloud assets.
  • Gather requirements, validate team understanding, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Design, develop, test, and deliver projects while participating in Agile ceremonies and work planning.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, managers, and clients to understand user needs and iterate on solutions.
  • Own projects from technical design through successful launch and participate in code reviews.
  • Track project status, estimates, and work plans while supporting continuous improvement and technology evaluation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience with Python and SQL.
  • Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, and AKS.
  • Experience with Git and Jenkins in DevOps or Agile environments.
  • Experience migrating data engineering assets and applications to cloud platforms.
  • Experience engineering medium-to-large software systems and building scalable frontend/backend applications.
  • Proficiency with relational databases and modern methodologies such as Test-Driven Development, Continuous Delivery, and Scrum.
  • Financial industry experience is required; Canadian Securities Course completion or CFA candidacy is an asset.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with English proficiency.
  • Preferred: C#, React, Flask, FastAPI, Django, Airflow/Astronomer, DBT, SSIS, Power BI, financial data providers, AI coding agents, and a quantitative degree.
