Description

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans in collaboration with Technical Lead or Product Development Manager to support project objectives and timelines.
  • Lead detailed test design and oversee test execution, prioritizing high-impact testing activities and ensuring thorough coverage and quality standards.
  • Enhance, expand, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts to increase test coverage, efficiency, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Serve as primary QA contact for development and product teams, promoting transparent communication and integrating QA results into the development lifecycle.
  • Support project planning and take ownership of QA deliverables, including mentoring and coaching junior QA engineers and advocating for QA best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and share knowledge across the QA team.
  • Stay informed on industry testing technologies, methodologies, and best practices and recommend ways to leverage new approaches for improved quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on software quality assurance experience, including test strategy, planning, execution, and documentation.
  • At least 3 years of experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, QTP/UFT) and advanced scripting for automation and custom frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming for test automation, specifically Python, with ability to contribute to codebase and automation scripts.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and optimizing automated tests for speed and efficiency in CI/CD.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, virtualization (VMware), Bash scripting, REST APIs, debugging, and general networking concepts.
  • Deep knowledge of databases and SQL for backend and data validation testing.
  • Proficiency with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and demonstrated experience driving bug reporting, tracking, and resolution.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum environments, including mentoring, stakeholder communication, and driving QA strategies.
  • Preferred: QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced, CSTE), performance/load testing experience (LoadRunner, JMeter), and security testing knowledge/tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Fortify).
