Description

  • Collaborate with the Technical Lead or Product Development Manager to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans that support project objectives and timelines.
  • Lead the design and oversight of test execution, prioritizing critical, high-impact testing activities and ensuring thorough coverage and adherence to quality standards.
  • Enhance, expand, and maintain automation frameworks and practices to increase test coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Identify and implement process and tooling improvements to optimize testing workflows and CI/CD test integration.
  • Serve as the primary QA contact for development and product teams, promoting transparent communication and integration of QA results into the development lifecycle.
  • Support project planning and execution by owning QA deliverables, timelines, and risk mitigation within projects.
  • Mentor and coach junior QA engineers, share knowledge, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the QA team.
  • Stay informed on testing technologies and industry best practices and recommend adoption of relevant tools and methodologies.
  • Advocate for quality standards and best practices across cross-functional teams and participate in stakeholder collaboration and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on software quality assurance experience, including test strategy, planning, execution, and maintenance.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, QTP/UFT) and development of custom automation frameworks and scripts.
  • Advanced proficiency in test automation programming (such as Python) and experience contributing to codebases and automation scripts.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (examples: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and optimizing automated tests for CI environments.
  • Strong knowledge of databases and SQL for backend and data validation testing.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and demonstrated bug reporting, tracking, and resolution skills.
  • Practical experience with Linux, virtualization (e.g., VMWare), Bash scripting, REST APIs, debugging, and networking concepts.
  • Proven leadership and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with mentoring and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: QA certifications (ISTQB Advanced, CSTE), performance/load testing experience (LoadRunner, JMeter), and security testing familiarity (OWASP ZAP, Fortify).
