Description

  • Review code in GitHub repositories and perform ongoing maintenance.
  • Analyze each repository and develop plans to improve documentation, test coverage, and maintainability.
  • Increase AWS infrastructure test coverage from roughly 10% to 90% across the repositories.
  • Lead the design and enhancement of automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Architect and manage complex AWS cloud environments with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Use Terraform and CDK scripting to support infrastructure configuration management.
  • Troubleshoot complex system performance and cross-service issues to maintain reliability and efficiency.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on automation and DevOps practices.
  • Support code reviews, pull requests, and source control standards.
  • Participate in on-call support for non-business-hour issues and global market-hour coverage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience with proficient Python coding skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering systems to production with an emphasis on Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience writing and publishing reusable, tested modules or libraries for other teams.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools such as Azure DevOps Services or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience integrating security at design time and evaluating the effectiveness of security measures.
  • Experience performing code reviews and following source control standards such as Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development.
  • Experience designing and delivering two or more infrastructure systems with automation and central configuration management.
  • Experience with multiple database technologies, including authentication and connectivity; ability to write complex SQL queries is desired.
  • Deep expertise in automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, plus AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and ELK, as well as Git, networking, security, and database management.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, including the ability to mentor others and present technical concepts to technical audiences.
  • Experience with test-driven development, unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
  • Availability for on-call support outside business hours and geographic flexibility to align with global market hours, mainly 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern time.
  • Advanced certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, especially AWS, or Kubernetes are preferred.
  • Experience prioritizing work based on business impact is preferred.
  • Experience with accurate status tracking, reporting, and estimating testing/deployment efforts is preferred.
