Description

  • Analyze data integrity issues, investigate root causes, and monitor data quality to identify and resolve key data problems.
  • Develop client code that is efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, and high quality.
  • Communicate project status, recommendations, and technical progress to client stakeholders.
  • Gather requirements and present developed features to clients in a clear and organized manner.
  • Participate in accurate planning, estimation, and project execution using established methods and tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on solutions.
  • Take part in agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and governance activities.
  • Mentor other engineers through communities of practice and project-based collaboration.
  • Drive project delivery independently within defined architecture from concept through deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
  • Strong experience with SQL and MS SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake as a data warehouse.
  • Experience with Hevo and/or dbt.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and Slack/Teams.
  • Experience working in Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience building well-tested, scalable, and performant enterprise-level systems.
  • English proficiency.
  • Preferred experience with JavaScript.
  • Preferred experience with DynamoDB, AWS services, and Rockset.
  • Preferred experience with backend development using Node.js.
  • Preferred experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Preferred knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS, and S3.
  • Preferred experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Preferred experience with ORMs, architectural patterns, design patterns, and unit testing.
