Description

  • Analyze, investigate, correct, and monitor data integrity issues in production, including root-cause analysis through code review and data store queries.
  • Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs that are performant, testable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Build and operate serverless/backend infrastructure using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS) and integrate with other cloud components.
  • Optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and remediate production incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to gather requirements, present features, communicate project status, and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in agile development practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and estimation activities.
  • Independently drive project delivery from conceptualization through deployment within defined architecture and quality standards.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to the Engineering Practice community via Communities of Practice (CoPs) and on-project coaching.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing backend services and APIs using Node.js.
  • Practical experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and RDS.
  • Ability to analyze logs and query DynamoDB/RDS to diagnose and fix data errors and inconsistencies.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and common design patterns (Factory, Singleton, Observer, etc.).
  • High-level architecture and design proficiency (UML, C4, ArchiMate) and experience building well-tested, scalable enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with OWASP security principles and unit testing practices.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, modern frontend build tools, containerization (Docker) and optional orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in English; demonstrated ability to work on multi-discipline teams and mentor others.
