Description

  • Lead the squad’s technical architecture and engineering decisions in alignment with LATAM engineering standards.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions.
  • Promote clean code, CI/CD best practices, and technical debt management.
  • Guide the team through ambiguity and balance speed, quality, and scalability trade-offs.
  • Define and promote testing practices across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.
  • Ensure operational reliability, observability, and incident response readiness.
  • Lead blameless post-mortems and drive measurable technical improvements.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager and Product Designer throughout discovery and delivery.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear, measurable technical criteria.
  • Mentor team members through 1:1s, continuous feedback, and development plans.

Requirements

  • Experience leading software development teams technically.
  • Strong foundation in software architecture and scalable system design.
  • Experience with distributed architectures, including microservices and/or event-driven systems.
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs and service contracts.
  • Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of observability practices, including logs, metrics, and tracing.
  • Knowledge of security practices applied to software development.
  • Preferred experience applying SRE practices.
  • Preferred experience using DORA metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Preferred experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
  • Preferred experience working with medium or high-complexity systems.
  • Preferred exposure to AI applied to product value when relevant.
