Description

  • Build tools that interact with external health data networks to collect patient information and load it into Zus data stores at high volume.
  • Develop services used by customers and internal stakeholders to request and access data.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines that process large-scale data using AWS services such as Step Functions, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3.
  • Build and operate RESTful services used internally and externally.
  • Deploy, maintain, and run the team's pipelines and services in production.
  • Collaborate with founding product and engineering leaders on data acquisition capabilities.
  • Work across US timezones and collaborate with development partners in Central European Time.
  • Help unify diverse healthcare data sources into a usable patient view for customers.

Requirements

  • US-based candidates only; the team hires only in the United States.
  • Experience building backend software in any language, with Go strongly preferred and Node.js experience a plus.
  • Experience with operationally stable and cost-efficient data pipelines.
  • Experience with at least one deployment technology such as GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Chef.
  • Comfort working remotely, with EST/CST preferred, and willingness to travel occasionally for in-person collaboration.
  • Scrappy, fast-moving, and comfortable owning work through safe production deployment.
  • Nice to have: experience building and running large-scale cloud systems.
  • Nice to have: experience building services and APIs used by third-party developers.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of application security.
  • Nice to have: experience working with healthcare data and APIs.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with FHIR and/or TEFCA standards.
