Description

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of software developers.
  • Own core platform services, including the FHIR data store, data marts, Master Patient Index, and authentication/authorization systems.
  • Build new features and fixes for core systems to support customer and internal application needs.
  • Ensure business-critical services remain safely operational for customers.
  • Partner with product managers on Agile sprint planning and management rituals.
  • Collaborate with engineers, AI/ML experts, healthcare providers, and support teams to identify and develop platform use cases.
  • Run and maintain large-scale cloud-based data services using AWS technologies.
  • Deploy, maintain, and operate platform services.
  • Work hands on in Zus codebases when time allows.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience leading software engineers.
  • Experience building and running large-scale cloud systems.
  • Experience building services and APIs used by third-party developers.
  • Experience with operationally stable and cost-efficient data stores.
  • Experience owning complete microservices from infrastructure through application layers.
  • Deep backend software engineering experience in any language, with Go preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal handholding.
  • Based in the Boston metro and able to collaborate in person on a hybrid schedule, or remote in EST/CST with occasional travel.
  • Knowledge of application security (preferred).
  • Experience working with healthcare data and APIs (preferred).
  • Familiarity with FHIR and/or TEFCA standards (preferred).
