Description

  • Design and develop customized solutions on the Salesforce platform to meet client requirements and project goals.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to design and implement scalable, secure Salesforce solutions aligned with best practices.
  • Gather and analyze business needs with technical and non-technical stakeholders to recommend technical specifications and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and other custom code.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems and third-party applications using APIs and middleware.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and other team members.
  • Conduct system audits, prepare for Salesforce releases, and support smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including technical expertise and solution demonstrations.
  • Develop reusable components and scalable solutions that can be adapted across multiple client projects.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and best practices through knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer in a nonprofit organization, higher education institution, or consultancy supporting nonprofits.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience with data migration, integration tools, and ETL processes, including Mulesoft, Talend, and Dell Boomi.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I & II, Application Architect, or System Architect are highly desirable.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects at a time with fast turnaround times.
  • Experience working autonomously as well as collaboratively across teams.
  • Passion for nonprofit and/or higher education work and a commitment to using technology for social good.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising or higher education development/advancement is preferred.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to development standards and best practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bonus points for experience with Salesforce packaged solutions such as ascend, Affinaquest, NonprofitCloud, NPSP, or EdCloud.
  • Bonus points for experience with middleware tools such as Workato, Jitterbit, Informatica, or Snaplogic.
  • Bonus points for experience with Agile environments, consulting project management, release management, version control, deployment methodologies, or JIRA.
  • Bonus points for experience with advancement-specific tools such as Banner, Advance, BBCRM, Paciolan, GiveCampus, Graduway, EverTrue, or iModules.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $100,000 to $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
