Description

  • Participate in daily standups and Scrum ceremonies and track work via JIRA tickets.
  • Write, execute, and maintain manual test cases in the test management tool (currently TestRail).
  • Create and execute automation functional and regression test cases and evaluate system behavior for completeness and accuracy.
  • Use the BugBug automation tool (training provided) and identify which test cases should be automated.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of web applications, including reviewing browser console and network traffic.
  • Collaborate with other QA team members and assist teammates to complete all testing activities within a sprint.
  • Peer review test cases and provide input on front-end design with a focus on usability.
  • Troubleshoot issues, escalate defects as necessary, and work with product and engineering teams to suggest design improvements.
  • Take ownership of assigned work and follow through from advising on acceptance criteria to test case creation and execution.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience as a QA Engineer, QA Analyst, or related role.
  • Experience with JIRA for ticket management and Confluence for documentation.
  • Experience writing and executing test cases in test management software (TestRail experience is a plus).
  • Experience testing REST APIs using an API client such as Postman or Insomnia (Postman experience listed as both required and nice-to-have).
  • In-depth experience testing web-based applications, including reviewing browser console and network traffic.
  • Experience with regression testing of enterprise software.
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail with strong analytical ability.
  • Experience working on teams using Scrum processes (preferred).
  • Automation experience or a strong desire/ability to learn automation quickly; experience with little/no-code automation tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and use the BugBug automation tool (training provided).
