Description

  • Manage close-readiness routines, including calendar discipline, dependency tracking, issue escalation, completion visibility, and follow-up actions.
  • Build and improve the US Controller close reporting package covering balance-sheet and P&L movements, variances, risks, judgments, and open items.
  • Develop analytics and visualizations to identify financial trends, anomalies, aged items, recurring adjustments, and close-quality issues.
  • Own recurring accounting areas end-to-end, including journal entries, reconciliations, substantiation, schedules, and review-ready documentation.
  • Design and improve close-quality routines, including checklists, evidence standards, certifications, issue logs, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Investigate account-balance and financial-statement movements, identify root causes, and drive resolution with accounting owners and upstream teams.
  • Partner with Finance Systems, Data, and business stakeholders to improve source-data quality, reporting logic, reconciliations, and data lineage.
  • Monitor debt portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and financing metrics with Treasury.
  • Apply automation and AI tools to improve close analysis, documentation, reconciliations, controls evidence, and issue identification.
  • Coordinate cross-functional remediation workstreams and continuously improve close processes while maintaining controls and auditability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with hands-on month-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong accounting foundation and working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience independently owning workstreams, coordinating dependencies, and delivering work with limited oversight.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret accounting and financial data, identify anomalies, and investigate root causes.
  • Advanced Excel or equivalent analytical skills.
  • Experience with data visualization or business-intelligence tools and working with large or structured datasets; strongly preferred.
  • Experience using automation and emerging AI tools in finance or accounting, with attention to human review, governance, data controls, and auditability; strongly preferred.
  • Controls experience, including reconciliations, review evidence, process documentation, SOX, audit support, or quality-control routines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for accounting and non-accounting audiences.
  • Strong systems aptitude; NetSuite experience is strongly preferred, and SQL or similar data-query experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities and processes.
  • Must be US-based; visa sponsorship is not available.
