Description

  • Partner with product management and cross-functional software engineering teams.
  • Plan and oversee multiple technology projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and contingency plans.
  • Lead project teams comprising engineers, quality analysts, and other technical staff.
  • Facilitate PMO governance, Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and planning sessions.
  • Communicate project goals, status, timelines, and dependencies to executives, sponsors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Apply Agile practices to improve team throughput, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Maintain project documentation and provide regular status reports.
  • Ensure projects meet stakeholder expectations and are completed on time and within budget.
  • Improve project management processes and methodologies across teams and geographies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 11–15 years of experience, including 7+ years managing increasingly complex technology projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and SAFe project management methodologies.
  • Experience with Scrum, including mentoring and upskilling teams in Agile practices.
  • Experience managing technical teams, including software engineers and quality analysts.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Airtable.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the life insurance and annuity industry preferred.
  • Scrum, SAFe, PMP, or other project management certifications preferred.
