Description

  • Drive direct sales of ZERO TO THREE’s professional development products and services to prospective and existing clients.
  • Meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to organizational revenue goals through prospecting, pitching, and closing.
  • Develop and execute consultative sales strategies, including outreach, presentations, negotiations, and relationship management.
  • Build and manage a personal opportunity pipeline from prospecting through close.
  • Represent ZERO TO THREE at conferences and events to generate and close new business.
  • Travel throughout the United States to conduct client sales activities, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, contact, lead, opportunity, and transaction records in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with marketing on targeted cross-selling campaigns and analyze performance metrics to improve effectiveness.
  • Guide and support other sales team members while fostering a collaborative learning culture.
  • Strengthen sales infrastructure, processes, and Salesforce practices to support sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of outside sales experience with demonstrated success meeting revenue, new-account, and pipeline-growth targets.
  • Experience selling early childhood professional development products, services, or programs is highly desirable.
  • Proven knowledge of sales processes, techniques, and tools, including Salesforce.
  • Strong research, analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to adapt sales strategies based on client feedback, market trends, and other factors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, economics, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Business management or customer-facing credentials or experience, particularly in early childhood or adult development, are preferred.
  • Ability to travel as required, estimated at up to 50%.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate empathy and respect, and support colleagues across the organization.
  • Ability to perform computer-based work and occasional physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
