Description

  • Lead and manage the UX function, including hiring, mentoring, and coaching product designers and researchers.
  • Define and evolve the long-term UX vision and experience strategy for major product areas.
  • Own the end-to-end user experience across customer-facing, broker, and internal tools.
  • Lead strategic design initiatives across multiple teams or product areas to ensure consistency.
  • Define and prioritize UX work across customer acquisition, policy management, and internal tooling.
  • Align design direction with product and engineering leadership.
  • Establish and drive user research practices that inform product decisions.
  • Develop and champion UX principles, design frameworks, and interaction patterns across teams.
  • Work closely with frontend engineering to evolve a coherent, accessible, and scalable design system.
  • Collaborate daily with product managers, engineers, data teams, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in UX or product design.
  • 3+ years of experience managing designers.
  • Experience leading UX across both customer-facing products and internal or B2B tooling.
  • Track record of building or scaling a design function, including hiring and process development.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, including information architecture, interaction design, and complex workflow design.
  • Experience working with and contributing to a design system used across multiple product surfaces.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA, and inclusive design practices.
  • Strong aptitude for leveraging AI to increase the speed and quality of UX initiatives, with knowledge of how AI is changing product and service delivery.
  • Comfort using analytics, usability testing, and user research to make data-informed design decisions.
  • Preferred: experience in insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries where trust, compliance, and clarity are critical.
  • Preferred: familiarity with micro-frontend or multi-app architectures and their design challenges.
  • Preferred: experience designing for multiple personas with very different needs.
  • Preferred: familiarity with design-to-engineering handoff in a component-based React environment.
