Description

  • Architect and develop new product features for SELECT.
  • Create new cost management capabilities such as forecasts, anomaly alerts, and cost allocations.
  • Develop reusable and robust UI components for the cost exploration experience.
  • Build data visualization features to communicate performance, query timing, and efficiency.
  • Build data pipelines and dbt models to surface new insights for users.
  • Improve the reliability and performance of the application.
  • Collaborate with founders and engineers on roadmap and software design.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of features from design and planning through implementation, testing, and delivery.
  • Identify the most important problems to solve and make pragmatic trade-offs that maximize customer impact.
  • Contribute clear proposals, documentation, commit messages, and thorough testing.

Requirements

  • Experience as an engineer with both backend and data engineering expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of Python, FastAPI, Postgres, dbt, Dagster, and Snowflake.
  • Experience with system design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, confident, thorough, and tenacious.
  • Ability to operate flexibly in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
  • Preferred experience with FinOps, cloud infrastructure cost management, data warehouse management, or observability.
  • Preferred experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
  • A good sense of humor and enjoyment of having fun at work.
