Description

  • Own UI/UX design across Zenara’s assessment product, care/practice product, and platform layer.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for screens, interactions, and states.
  • Use AI tools and prompting to rapidly explore, iterate, and validate design directions.
  • Define UX hypotheses, run A/B tests or phased rollouts, and iterate based on adoption and usage metrics.
  • Maintain and evolve the design system, including components, patterns, and design tokens.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing with clinical users such as psychiatrists and practice staff.
  • Design workflows for clinicians, patients, administrators, and billing staff with different needs and technical comfort levels.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to align on sprint deliverables and ship implementable designs.
  • Design AI interaction patterns such as chat interfaces, AI-generated content displays, recommendations, and automated workflows.
  • Ensure accessibility, responsive design, and clear design handoffs to engineering.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience as a UI/UX designer for B2B SaaS or healthcare products.
  • Expert-level Figma skills, including components, variants, and design systems.
  • Comfort using AI tools through prompting and experimentation to speed up design work.
  • Ability to define UX hypotheses and evaluate feature adoption using quantitative signals.
  • Experience partnering with product and engineering on UX experiments such as A/B tests and phased rollouts.
  • Ability to extract insights from usage data to inform design iteration.
  • Portfolio showing healthcare or complex enterprise product design; case studies preferred and portfolio link required.
  • Experience designing for clinical workflows such as EHR interfaces, patient-facing tools, or dashboard-heavy products.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles, including WCAG.
  • Comfort translating strategy from a non-designer into screens without prescriptive requirements.
  • Strong English communication skills for async collaboration, design rationale, research findings, and specifications.
  • Preferred: behavioral health or mental health product design experience.
  • Preferred: experience designing AI-powered interfaces such as chat, recommendations, or generated content.
  • Preferred: user research and usability testing experience with clinical users.
  • Preferred: motion design and micro-interaction skills.
  • Preferred: experience with design systems at scale.
  • Preferred: analytics platform experience such as Mixpanel or Amplitude.
  • Nice to have: prior experience as the sole designer at a startup.
  • Nice to have: HTML/CSS knowledge for design QA.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with healthcare compliance considerations such as HIPAA in UX.
  • Nice to have: exposure to mental health or behavioral health domains.
  • Nice to have: experience with rapid prototyping tools beyond Figma.
  • Schedule requirement: 4–8 hours of daily overlap with US Pacific time, with evening IST hours preferred.
