Description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend systems and infrastructure for web-scale AI-driven products.
  • Improve platform scalability, reliability, performance, and security for millions of users.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and integrate new technologies into the platform.
  • Develop and maintain production SQL and NoSQL databases and performant query patterns.
  • Refactor existing systems to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability.
  • Help define architectural patterns and team practices that support long-term growth.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams on deployment and monitoring strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and deploying mission-critical REST/RPC services.
  • Experience with scalable backend architecture focused on performance.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (k8s), deployment pipelines, and debugging system-level issues.
  • Expertise in designing and maintaining scalable SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects is a plus.
  • Ability to solve complex technical challenges with elegant, maintainable solutions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Remote position open to candidates based in the United States.

  • Salary band of $200,000 to $250,000 USD.
