Description

  • Lead engineering efforts with deep understanding of open source stack and distributed systems.
  • Design layered applications and drive architecture and design quality for purchase and logistics systems.
  • Work with product owners and business stakeholders to define problems and develop solutions.
  • Lead mission-critical projects and collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to resolve complex business problems.
  • Create roadmaps and vision for the scalable and robust growth of the merchant platform.
  • Collaborate with other Coupang tech teams to make services extensible and support innovation.
  • Build high-performance, resilient backend systems to handle increasing customer requests.
  • Set up stable, fault-tolerant mechanisms to protect customer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software design and development.
  • Strong communication skills with good reading and writing ability in English.
  • Strong deep-dive skills and a commitment to engineering excellence.
  • Experience with distributed systems.
  • Experience developing large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent on-time delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with open source stack is preferred.
  • Legal qualifications required for hiring and work performance must be met.
