Description

  • Implement, maintain, and support the MS SQL Server data warehouse and SSIS processes and jobs.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Apache Spark/PySpark.
  • Integrate raw data from source systems into the centralized data platform.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions.
  • Integrate the data platform with other systems and applications.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and define engineering standards.
  • Conduct code reviews, document solutions, and share knowledge with team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related software engineering role.
  • 1+ year of experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, and SQL Server Agent, including deploying new features.
  • Proficiency in Python and writing clean, testable production code.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and advanced SQL query optimization for large datasets.
  • Experience analyzing and improving legacy code and migrating it to newer technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse design, data modeling, relational databases, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Knowledge of data quality, monitoring, pipeline reliability, and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
  • Understanding of REST and gRPC for system integration and CI/CD pipeline principles.
  • Willingness to work on Databricks-oriented projects and learn new technologies.
  • Experience with dbt, Kafka, Pub/Sub, event streaming, real-time pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, CDC, or lakehouse platforms is preferred.
