Description

  • Shape the architecture of data products for analytics and data science use cases, including forecasting, feature engineering, customer behaviour, and new data-source integration.
  • Establish best practices for data modelling, performance optimisation, and data governance.
  • Build reusable technology that enables teams to ingest, store, transform, and serve data products.
  • Develop, publish, and maintain complex data products and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to refine data requirements and improve data infrastructure.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including open-source tools, and contribute to data community activities.

Requirements

  • Expertise in batch, distributed data processing and near-real-time streaming pipelines using technologies such as Kafka, Flink, and Spark.
  • Experience implementing cloud-based data lake or big-data analytics platforms; AWS experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and software engineering best practices.
  • Expertise in RDBMS, data warehousing, data modelling, relational SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Redshift and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, and infrastructure-as-code deployment practices.
  • Hands-on experience with data quality and data governance techniques (preferred).
  • Knowledge of MLOps and feature engineering (preferred).
  • Exposure to data analysis and machine learning technologies such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, XGBoost, and LightGBM (preferred).
  • Exposure to Apache Oozie or Apache Airflow (preferred).
