Description

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the company’s geo-distributed infrastructure.
  • Maintain and configure network equipment, bare metal servers, and NAS systems.
  • Maintain and configure the VMware virtualization environment.
  • Administer multiple Linux servers.
  • Monitor service health and resolve issues promptly.
  • Automate administrative and infrastructure tasks.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of infrastructure systems.
  • Collaborate with developers, database administrators, DevOps engineers, and architects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent knowledge of configuring and operating active network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Strong knowledge of network technologies such as VLAN, STP, static routing, PBR, OSPF, BGP, ACL, IPSEC, OpenVPN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with VMware tools and technologies, including vCenter, vSAN, Distributed Switch, and HA.
  • Working knowledge of HP/Dell servers and storage systems.
  • Experience administering Debian/Ubuntu Linux environments.
  • Experience administering monitoring systems, logging, and metrics collection tools.
  • Intermediate or higher spoken and technical English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge or experience with DevOps practices (preferred).
  • Experience with IaC and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform (preferred).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services (preferred).
  • Understanding of information security principles and experience with SOC2/PCI DSS infrastructure (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Kanban methodology (preferred).
  • Experience working on large projects with significant personal contribution (preferred).
