Description

  • Manage and operate RDBMS and NoSQL database solutions across environments.
  • Ensure database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery for systems deployed on bare-metal servers and virtual machines.
  • Implement and manage replication chains, partitioning/sharding, and backup strategies.
  • Troubleshoot production and development database issues and drive root-cause analysis and remediation.
  • Assist and collaborate with development teams to design, optimize, and resolve problems with database schemas and queries.
  • Drive automation of infrastructure and database lifecycle management using Terraform, Puppet, and custom tooling.
  • Communicate technical issues and database-related recommendations to stakeholders and support cross-team coordination.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
  • Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with other RDBMS and NoSQL solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL, DML, DCL).
  • Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in Linux.
  • English language proficiency at B2 level or higher and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Nice to have: scripting/automation and IaC experience (Terraform, Puppet, Bash/Python), team management experience, and familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).
