Description

  • Own the product roadmap for the DevX and AI team and decide what gets built, in what order, and why.
  • Engage directly with developers, publishers, agencies, and studios using Shop Builder APIs to understand friction and needs.
  • Translate partner feedback and developer pain points into prioritized product requirements and a sequenced roadmap.
  • Collaborate with engineers to define API shape, scope, exposed surfaces, and expected formats for developers and AI agents.
  • Coordinate dependencies and relationships across teams including payments, auth, catalog, and live ops.
  • Work with product, engineering, and design partners to ship developer infrastructure and AI features effectively.
  • Set the definition of done for shipping, including documentation, evaluations, developer experience quality, and partner feedback.
  • Maintain clear rationale and communication for roadmap decisions with the team and stakeholders.
  • Help shape AI-native features such as agents that build and deploy storefronts and AI-generated custom blocks in the editor.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product experience, with meaningful time spent on developer-facing products, APIs, SDKs, developer tooling, or platforms.
  • Software development background with experience writing and shipping code to production systems.
  • Strong understanding of developer experience principles and the ability to hold a high standard in specs, reviews, and tradeoff discussions.
  • Ability to make prioritization decisions in a fast-moving AI-native environment.
  • Systems thinking with the ability to assess second-order consequences and explain reasoning clearly to engineering and business leadership.
  • Genuine interest in developer experience details such as API contracts, SDK interfaces, and CLI workflows.
  • Experience with AI-native developer workflows such as MCP, agents, or LLM-integrated tooling is a meaningful advantage.
  • Comfort working with AI as a first-class user of the platform.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple product and engineering teams is important for this role.
