Description

  • Design clinician- and patient-facing user interfaces that improve speed, safety, and reliability of healthcare workflows.
  • Own the full design lifecycle including user research, mapping workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing.
  • Create and maintain accessible, mobile-first responsive designs and clear information architecture for healthcare products.
  • Develop and document reusable design systems, components, tokens, and patterns to accelerate engineering and AI-driven feature delivery.
  • Translate user research and usability test insights into actionable design decisions and product requirements.
  • Systematize AI-assisted design workflows and integrate AI tools into the design process while advocating for users.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering on design-to-code pipelines, design tokens, Storybook, and component integration.
  • Ensure designs meet accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and privacy/healthcare context requirements, and support HIPAA-aware workflows when applicable.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Product, UX, or UI Designer or UX Engineer with a portfolio demonstrating measurable impact.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, variables/tokens, variants, component libraries, and Dev Mode.
  • Experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing and translating findings into design decisions.
  • Strong skills in responsive and mobile-first design, information architecture, and content clarity.
  • Practical knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) applied in healthcare contexts.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows and tools (LLMs, Figma AI plugins, vibe coding platforms such as V0.dev, Replit, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor).
  • Preferred experience designing for healthcare, telehealth, or EHR workflows and awareness of HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering on code pipelines involving design tokens and components (Tailwind, Style Dictionary, Storybook).
  • Basic literacy in React semantics and modern CSS systems.
