Description

  • Support the Senior Director in developing and maintaining the quality system in line with corporate policies, goals, and AS9100 requirements.
  • Lead or participate in process improvement projects to strengthen supplier quality culture and improve quality programs and procedures.
  • Use lean and Six Sigma quality tools to resolve nonconformances and customer RMAs.
  • Manage supplier NCR, SCAR, and CAR activities and maintain timely records.
  • Analyze nonconformance trends and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Investigate troubled orders, assess part rejections, and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Apply manufacturing engineering knowledge to ensure supplier-produced hardware meets customer requirements.
  • Participate in QA and RMA live review meetings and support onsite customer audits.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Customer Care, Sales, and Shipping to improve manufacturing quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Support quality management system requirements, internal quality measures, continuous improvement efforts, and quality lab activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in engineering, quality, or an equivalent role.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a supplier-facing role or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering drawing requirements.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and solving complex problems.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA and DFM/DFQ.
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge and ability to read and interpret CAD models and drawings.
  • Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies and process certification/process robustness.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • Education, skills, or experience in statistics or big data preferred.
  • Experience using GD&T and quality lab equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk, Asana, SolidWorks, and Tableau preferred.
