Description

  • Develop and execute the Accounts Payable strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounts payable team.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of AP systems and technologies.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with SOX and accounting standards.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely payments and resolve disputes.
  • Develop reports and analysis on accounts payable performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Work with internal audit teams to address findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with SOX requirements and internal control procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in accounts payable operations, including process improvement and system implementation.
  • 2-4 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to recruit, build, lead, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and other accounting software.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex accounts payable issues.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
