Description

Execute timely month-end close processes and prepare GAAP-aligned financial statements and reports.
Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready workpapers, general ledgers, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Process payroll and manage employee setup using Gusto or similar platforms.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting activity across multiple entities, locations, and business segments.
Calculate and file U.S. state sales taxes while tracking compliance deadlines and documentation.
Build financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insights to leadership.
Review and improve accounting workflows, controls, documentation, reconciliation processes, and reporting systems.
Coordinate with leadership and clients regarding deliverables, deadlines, discrepancies, and accounting priorities.

Requirements

5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
Hands-on expertise in accrual accounting and GAAP financial reporting.
Experience managing multi-entity, multi-location, or multi-segment accounting environments.
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online; QuickBooks Desktop or Enterprise experience is also relevant.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, and Data Tables.
Payroll processing experience using Gusto or a similar platform.
Experience calculating and filing U.S. state sales tax.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; ability to work independently during U.S. business hours.
Preferred: NetSuite, Paylocity or ADP, Ramp or Bill.com, Clockify, outsourced accounting, and accounting process improvement experience.
