Description

  • Design, implement, and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines.
  • Architect and maintain data lakehouse solutions using Apache Iceberg and S3 or similar object storage.
  • Implement scalable Data Vault and Star Schema data models.
  • Build and manage real-time ingestion pipelines using Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
  • Integrate and orchestrate data workflows using tools such as Airflow, dbt, NiFi, or Airbyte.
  • Enforce data governance, data quality, and access control policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline performance and reliability issues.
  • Collaborate with data modelers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted real-time and batch data solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development.
  • Strong background in software engineering and distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of data processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, and Flink.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
  • Solid understanding of functional and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Proven experience with modern data stack tools such as Airflow, dbt, and Docker.
  • Familiarity with Apache Iceberg, S3-compatible object stores, and lakehouse architecture.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex data workflows.
