Description

  • Lead UX discovery through ecosystem walkthroughs, heuristic evaluation, and field research with H&S users.
  • Define the problem statement, user roles, and design direction based on synthesized research.
  • Design, document, and govern the SafetyTrack Design System in line with ArcelorMittal’s corporate branding guidance.
  • Direct rapid prototyping during early MVP sprints to validate concepts and improve user feedback loops.
  • Set UX quality standards, including usability and accessibility expectations from non-functional requirements.
  • Guide and review the work of the UX Designer and align design and engineering on a shared component language.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience designing end-to-end user experiences for responsive web and mobile applications, including Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and offline-first solutions.
  • Hands-on experience owning or significantly contributing to Design Systems, from creation to implementation and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Strong user research skills, including planning, conducting, and synthesizing qualitative research into design decisions.
  • Proficiency in Figma and component-based design, with experience preparing design hand-off for development teams.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and solve complex design problems while balancing user needs with business objectives.
  • Experience facilitating design workshops and collaborating with business stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional product teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and refine product scope.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a fully remote environment.
  • English at B2+ level.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client locations in the UK, DACH, and U.S., as well as Xebia offices in Poland.
  • Work from the European Union region and a valid work permit are required.
  • Practical experience using AI-powered assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot Chat to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making.
  • Experience designing enterprise, SaaS, or mobile-first products (nice to have).
  • Practical experience with quantitative research methods such as usability metrics or A/B testing (nice to have).
  • Experience working with accessibility standards such as WCAG and designing inclusive digital experiences (nice to have).
  • Experience contributing to or scaling Design Systems in larger organizations (nice to have).
  • Active involvement in the UX community through conferences, meetups, workshops, or public speaking (nice to have).
  • Experience applying GenAI in a structured way within the SDLC, including workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices such as analysis automation, AI-supported documentation, or workflow optimization, with a willingness to experiment (nice to have).
