Description

  • Define the visual language for Vercel’s most visible surfaces, including vercel.com, nextjs.org, product launches, and Ship.
  • Create memorable brand moments such as hero animations, launch films, event environments, and partnership experiences.
  • Own the creative vision from concept through final shipped execution on the real web.
  • Set and maintain a high craft bar for typography, motion, and visual detail across web experiences.
  • Work across web, motion, illustration, 3D, identity, and other mediums to elevate the Vercel brand.
  • Influence shared design patterns and systems, including Geist, through work that can become a standard.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to turn design into production code and ship polished work.
  • Shape how Vercel appears in launch moments, events, and partnership surfaces across digital and physical channels.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of design experience.
  • A portfolio that includes brand systems and work across multiple digital and physical mediums, anchored by strong shipped web work.
  • Strong visual design instincts, creativity, and a distinctive eye.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: motion, 3D, illustration, environmental design, event design, or interaction design.
  • Systems-minded approach to designing components and patterns rather than one-off assets.
  • Experience shaping launch moments, events, or brand-partnership surfaces under real deadlines.
  • Comfort working with engineers and understanding how web layouts behave and how design becomes code.
  • Experience with developer, B2B, or SaaS products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Vercel is preferred.
  • Ability to prototype or bring ideas to life in code using React, Tailwind, or Next.js is a bonus.
  • Experience contributing to a design system at scale is a bonus.
