Description

  • Create high-quality environment art for an AAA game project.
  • Build, iterate, and optimize environments that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.
  • Collaborate with art direction, level design, and tech art to deliver performant and visually impressive worlds.
  • Use modular and kit-based environment art approaches effectively.
  • Troubleshoot performance, consistency, and technical issues across platforms.
  • Contribute to visual benchmarks and help establish best practices for environment art workflows.
  • Apply strong texture and material knowledge to create and implement environment assets efficiently.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience as an Environment Artist on a shipped AAA or high-quality game project.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating environment art fundamentals and process.
  • Proficiency with modern game engines such as Unreal, Unity, or proprietary engines.
  • Lighting experience, including an understanding of lighting workflows, baking, and performance impacts.
  • Experience with PBR workflows and optimization for real-time environments.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and iterate quickly based on feedback.
  • Experience with profiling/debugging or scripting for workflow automation.
  • Must have the appropriate working rights to live and work in Malaysia or Indonesia; sponsorship is not offered.
