Description

  • Design, build, and deploy secure, fault-tolerant backend services that serve millions of users.
  • Take full ownership of services from initial design through production operations.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and team members in a high-performance, global team environment.
  • Contribute to one of Xapo’s business domains, including Wealth Management, Financial Crime Prevention, Customer Acquisition and Retention, or Member Money Movement.
  • Help deliver customer-facing banking and investment capabilities across fiat and crypto use cases.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and automated testing practices.
  • Work with cloud-native, container-based, and microservices-oriented systems.
  • Apply event-driven architecture and domain-driven design concepts to solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in software engineering and proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
  • Basic understanding of microservices, cloud-native patterns, and container-based applications.
  • Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Interest in event-driven architecture and domain-driven design.
  • Growth mindset with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
  • Experience with Python frameworks such as Django or Flask is part of the tech stack.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, or Node.js is relevant to the role.
