Description

  • Own the end-to-end preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS and GAAP.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Design and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure policy compliance.
  • Direct regulatory reporting and manage timely submissions to financial authorities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and lead the annual audit process from planning through completion.
  • Drive tax planning and compliance, including cryptocurrency-related tax considerations.
  • Improve financial systems and processes, using NetSuite to enhance reporting and streamline operations.
  • Oversee accounting operations and financial governance for the finance function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading an accounting function as a Controller.
  • Proven experience in financial management with a focus on crypto accounting.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite is essential.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency accounting principles.
  • Experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and compliance.
  • Proven experience leading the external audit process.
  • Experience in a fintech, banking, financial services, or crypto banking environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex financial information to non ფინანსial stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Familiarity with international financial regulations and cryptocurrency-related compliance.
