Description

  • Ensure MEP infrastructure site safety and environmental compliance with local and regional health and safety requirements.
  • Operate and maintain critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the datacenter facility.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment including pumps, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, generators, UPS, and switchgear.
  • Inspect critical areas and systems daily to maintain performance and proactively report facility issues.
  • Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for operational procedures and emergencies.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory to reduce downtime.
  • Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns.
  • Develop and implement energy monitoring metrics.
  • Support commissioning by witnessing equipment startups, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress.
  • Mentor junior technicians and lead maintenance efforts for higher-level roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical, or 2+ years of hands-on operations/facilities experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Data center experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles and systems.
  • Experience with critical systems documentation, including plans, procedures, and operations manuals.
  • Experience with building and electrical power monitoring systems and operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or Building Management Systems (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and technical writing skills in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and 35 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools, work in tight spaces, and function at elevated heights up to 100 feet.
  • Comfortable working in extreme outdoor conditions and around fumes, odors, and noise.
  • Available for flexible 24x7 shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to travel up to 10%.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing, random drug and alcohol testing, and background checks.
  • Valid driver’s license.
