Description

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify promising product categories and niches within the Amazon marketplace.
  • Analyze competitor product offerings, pricing strategies, marketing efforts, and customer reviews to find opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
  • Track emerging consumer trends, technological advancements, and Amazon platform developments to uncover future product opportunities.
  • Evaluate the technical, financial, and logistical feasibility of new product ideas, including sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain considerations.
  • Develop detailed product concepts with features, specifications, target audience, and unique selling propositions tailored to Amazon customers.
  • Design and execute preliminary market validation efforts to assess demand and gather feedback on new product concepts.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, product development, marketing, and operations teams to align on new product strategy and development execution.
  • Use Amazon sales data, market research reports, and other data sources to evaluate product potential and monitor launched product performance.
  • Contribute to building and prioritizing a pipeline of new product opportunities and product roadmaps.
  • Present research findings, product concepts, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in market research, product development, or a related analytical role, preferably in e-commerce and the Amazon ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding of the Amazon marketplace, including customer behavior, category structures, and product listing requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent research skills with experience using market research tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to identify emerging trends and translate them into viable product opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for product innovation.
