Description

  • Coordinate the monthly webinar training calendar, including planning topics, preparing and delivering webinars, creating quizzes, and scheduling guest trainers.
  • Create practice advisories, templates, and other written resources for Immigration Legal Services practitioners.
  • Curate legal updates, resources, training opportunities, and news clips for a weekly e-newsletter.
  • Coordinate and assist with Basic Immigration Law Trainings and participate in grading exams and assignments.
  • Obtain approval for World Relief to offer Continuing Legal Education credits for trainings.
  • Answer legal questions about individual cases, immigration law, legal ethics, and government policy and practice by email, Microsoft Teams, and phone.
  • Participate in refining assessment tools for Immigration Legal Services programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Mature and personal Christian faith.
  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief.
  • Ability to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief’s Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity, and the National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to pass MVR standards.
  • Licensed attorney in a U.S. jurisdiction and in good standing in all jurisdictions where admitted.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in family-based and humanitarian-based immigration law.
  • Strong commitment to legal ethics and ability to keep information confidential.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to work professionally with people from diverse backgrounds and handle sensitive situations with tact and confidentiality.
  • Experience in trauma-informed practice.
  • Mentoring skills.
  • Training experience in virtual and in-person contexts.
  • Experience in ILS program management is strongly preferred.
  • Recent experience in removal defense and crimmigration is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Zoom and Thinkific is preferred.
