Description

  • Manage a national portfolio of 25–40 ultra-high-net-worth donors and prospects with seven-figure gift capacity.
  • Lead donors through the full principal gift cycle, including qualification, cultivation, solicitation, commitment, and stewardship.
  • Design and execute customized donor strategies that align donor passions with World Relief’s mission and funding priorities.
  • Secure principal-level gifts that support national, global, and programmatic initiatives.
  • Integrate faith-centered engagement into donor relationships with authenticity, humility, and pastoral sensitivity.
  • Partner with the CEO, VP SED, senior leaders, and board members on cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Prepare proposals, briefings, cases for support, and stewardship reports for principal gift audiences.
  • Develop and manage a robust principal gifts pipeline with clear projections and next steps.
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new principal gift prospects through referrals, networks, events, and board connections.
  • Maintain accurate donor records, strategies, and activity reports and participate in portfolio reviews and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7–10+ years of progressively responsible fundraising experience.
  • Proven track record of securing $1M+ gifts.
  • Experience engaging ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and boards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Strategic and relational thinker with ability to navigate complex donor journeys and long cultivation cycles.
  • Experience working effectively in national or matrixed fundraising environments.
  • Proficiency with fundraising systems and tools such as Raiser’s Edge NXT and Microsoft applications.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Participation in philanthropic societies and advanced industry training in principal gifts preferred.
  • Mature and personal Christian faith.
  • Commitment to World Relief’s mission, vision, and values, including its Core Beliefs and Statement of Faith.
