Description

  • Define and own the community operating model, including member lifecycle, onboarding, engagement, and feedback loops to editorial.
  • Build the community strategy, program design, operations, and member experience from the ground up.
  • Plan and help execute executive dinners, roundtables, and co-branded community events with partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CAIOs, CISOs, and Enterprise Architects.
  • Represent CIOnews credibly in conversations and events with senior technology leaders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community members and make thoughtful, low-friction asks.
  • Source, recruit, and shape story ideas through community relationships and editorial judgment.
  • Partner with the editorial team to turn practitioner conversations into podcasts, columns, interviews, and feature pieces.
  • Propose new community programs as the audience matures, such as cohorts, recognition programs, awards, or peer groups.
  • Help identify, recruit, and sustain relationships with senior technology leaders to support the CIOnews community.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience building and managing executive communities, peer networks, customer advisory boards, or similar programs for senior technology leaders.
  • Experience designing and scaling community, advocacy, or executive engagement programs within an enterprise SaaS, technology, media, analyst, or consulting organization.
  • Proven ability to build new programs or functions from scratch, including strategy, operations, member engagement, and success metrics.
  • Experience developing trusted relationships with senior technology executives such as CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CISOs, and Enterprise Architects.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology trends and the priorities of CIO and Enterprise Architecture organizations.
  • Experience partnering with content, editorial, marketing, or communications teams on thought leadership or community-driven programming.
  • Ability to use AI-powered tools and workflows to improve productivity, scale relationship management, automate repetitive work, and identify opportunities.
  • Experience building or managing CIO, Enterprise Architecture, or executive technology leadership communities (preferred).
  • Experience at a business publication, industry analyst firm, technology media company, or executive membership organization (preferred).
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI, automation, integration, or digital transformation initiatives (preferred).
  • Existing relationships within CIO communities, enterprise architecture organizations, or executive peer networks (preferred).
  • Experience planning executive events such as private dinners, roundtables, advisory boards, or leadership summits (preferred).
  • Builder mindset with success in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
  • Strong editorial judgment and excellent executive presence, communication, and relationship management skills.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $150,000 to $200,000 annually.
