Description

  • Design and develop scalable data models that power internal analysis, experimentation, and reporting.
  • Contribute to and improve dbt implementation and data models to turn raw data into business-ready datasets.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, data science, and other stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Support decision makers with internal data products and insights into business and platform performance.
  • Participate in the development, testing, documentation, and evangelism of core data models.
  • Use tools such as Databricks, BigQuery, Airflow, Mode, and Tableau to deliver actionable insights.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Calm to drive success.
  • Translate non-technical business requirements into technical solutions and technical outputs into business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Solid experience with data modeling and analyzing large-scale data on modern cloud computing platforms.
  • Experience with dbt strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data pipeline development tools such as dbt, Databricks, BigQuery, and Airflow.
  • Experience with Tableau or a similar data visualization / BI tool.
  • Prior experience with Python.
  • Strong relationship management and presentation skills.
  • Experience contributing to data documentation and testing practices.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in the healthcare sector, is preferred.
  • Experience working with non-technical business stakeholders across internal product, finance, and partner sales is preferred.
  • Experience working in healthcare analytics is preferred.
  • Experience modeling data to expose to LLMs for natural language SQL and tool calls is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $147,000 to $225,000.
