Description

  • Lead solution architecture for large, complex projects from end to end.
  • Design integration patterns, data flows, APIs, security, and non-functional architecture details.
  • Provide enterprise architecture and planning guidance on what clients should do and solution architecture guidance on how they should do it.
  • Assess enterprise architectures and provide architecture leadership for major transformation initiatives.
  • Review designs and documents from a federated team of solution architects for process and strategy alignment.
  • Mentor and support other architects while stepping in to reinforce domains or unblock decisions.
  • Carry enterprise standards and strategies into project work without becoming a governance bottleneck.
  • Partner with business users and technical stakeholders to shape solutions that fit real operating processes.
  • Evaluate vendors and platforms on their merits across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Translate between executive/business stakeholders and engineering teams, defending recommendations with facts and trade-offs.

Requirements

  • Seasoned solution architect experience within large, complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to design real solutions, not just provide architecture principles.
  • Strong experience with end-to-end solution design, including integration patterns, data flows, APIs, security, and non-functional requirements.
  • Breadth across application, data, and integration architecture, with depth in data and modern data patterns.
  • Experience working across both cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Ability to navigate organizational politics and facilitate fact-based decisions.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on new business capabilities and processes.
  • Strong communication skills to translate between business/executive and engineering audiences.
  • Financial services or other regulated-industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Insurance experience, especially finance processes, actuarial modeling, or external financial reporting, is helpful but not required.
  • Experience building a cloud-based enterprise analytical data repository or single source of truth for finance is a plus.
  • Experience with layered/medallion architecture, data lineage, and reconciliation across upstream sources is a plus.
  • Modern cloud data platform experience, especially AWS, is preferred.
  • Experience with data governance execution, including source-to-target mapping, master/reference data, lineage, and data quality controls, is a plus.
  • Experience partnering with finance and actuarial teams to build practical self-service capabilities is a plus.
  • Interest or experience in applied AI is a plus.
  • Must be a direct candidate; no agencies.
  • Must be eligible to work without immigration sponsorship.
  • Background check required.
