Description

  • Process and submit medical claims accurately and on time.
  • Follow up with insurance companies on outstanding claims.
  • Research and resolve denied, rejected, or unpaid claims.
  • Track claim status, reimbursements, and payment postings.
  • Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and verify billing accuracy.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Submit and track prior authorizations and pre-authorizations.
  • Coordinate with providers, insurance carriers, and patients on billing concerns.
  • Maintain accurate billing documentation, records, and patient databases.
  • Support administrative tasks such as email management, scheduling, reporting, and clerical work.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in medical billing and claims processing is required.
  • Strong understanding of insurance verification, claim follow-up, denials management, and prior authorizations.
  • Experience using Availity is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical billing software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Must speak and write English very clearly.
  • Must have relevant work experience and be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Reliable laptop or desktop computer with high-speed internet of at least 25 Mbps.
  • Noise-canceling headset, webcam, and a quiet professional workspace.
