Description

  • Submit and process medical insurance claims accurately and on time.
  • Post payments and update billing records with accuracy.
  • Follow up on denied, underpaid, or outstanding claims and billing issues.
  • Communicate with insurance companies about claim status and reimbursement issues.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
  • Track and follow up on required documents, signatures, faxes, and other billing records.
  • Assist with light EMR management and keep patient billing information organized and current.
  • Maintain accurate billing and administrative workflows and support additional administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar healthcare billing role.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing workflows, claims processing, denials, and underpayments.
  • Experience working with multiple insurance companies and payer processes.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and follow-up procedures.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and billing tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Clear and professional English communication skills.
  • Experience with HelloNote, Go High Level (GHL) phone system, and EMR/EHR or billing platforms is preferred.
  • Strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain organized billing and administrative workflows while handling sensitive patient information.
  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly.
  • Must have relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Reliable laptop or desktop computer is required.
  • High-speed internet connection of at least 10 Mbps is required.
  • Noise-canceling headset is required.
  • Webcam is required for virtual meetings.
  • Must have a quiet, professional workspace.
