Description

  • Answer inbound patient calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally and empathetically.
  • Provide appointment reminders and support appointment scheduling and calendar coordination.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using Availity and payer portals.
  • Assist with prior authorization workflows and insurance-related follow-up.
  • Support referral processing and in-house patient follow-up workflows.
  • Assist with administrative billing-related tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate medication refill requests when needed.
  • Maintain organized documentation and clear communication workflows.
  • Help reduce missed calls and improve patient responsiveness.
  • Reduce administrative burden for the internal team by supporting daily front desk and coordination tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a healthcare administrative, patient coordination, or behavioral health support role.
  • Mental health or behavioral health experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling patient communication, scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative workflows.
  • Strong reliability and consistent attendance is a critical requirement.
  • Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high administrative volume efficiently.
  • Comfort working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must speak and write English very clearly.
  • Must be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Experience with Practice Fusion, Availity, RingCentral, and Microsoft Teams is strongly preferred.
  • Reliable laptop or desktop computer is required.
  • High-speed internet connection of at least 10 Mbps is required.
  • Noise-canceling headset and webcam are required.
  • Must have a quiet, professional workspace.
