Description

  • Translate patent content from German (Germany) into Simplified Chinese.
  • Review translated content to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Follow project instructions, including character restrictions and other formatting requirements.
  • Communicate the rationale behind translation choices when needed.
  • Work remotely and deliver assigned volume on schedule.
  • Handle patent translation work in the electricity and computer science subject areas.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in patent translation.
  • Ability to translate from German into Simplified Chinese.
  • Ability to both translate and review work.
  • Ability to follow instructions, including character restrictions and other project-specific requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively about translation rationale.
  • Freelance availability for a remote project.
  • Willingness to work on content related to electricity and computer science.
  • Ability to handle an expected weighted volume of 2,000 per locale per week.
  • Prior experience in translation, localization, interpretation, or QA testing is relevant (preferred by company context).
