Description

  • Edit and review machine-translated German customer service content for accuracy, naturalness, and consistency.
  • Evaluate machine translation (MT) outputs and apply severity ratings according to project guidelines.
  • Produce high-quality human translations to serve as reference data for model training and quality evaluation.
  • Follow provided style guides, tone rules, and terminology requirements when reviewing and translating content.
  • Identify, document, and report recurring MT quality issues and batch-level trends to inform improvements.
  • Manage ad hoc tasks assigned throughout the year and adjust to varying volumes and timing based on client needs.
  • Work independently in an online environment to complete review and translation assignments on schedule.

Requirements

  • Native proficiency in German (Germany) and strong English skills.
  • Experience in translation, localization, or MT post-editing.
  • Familiarity with machine translation quality evaluation and error identification.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in an online/freelance environment and handle intermittent/ad hoc task assignments.
  • Willingness to produce human reference translations used for model training and quality evaluation.
  • Ability to follow project-specific style guides, tone rules, and terminology requirements.
