Description

  • Review English source documents alongside two machine-generated Malay translations.
  • Evaluate translation variants for accuracy, fluency, and overall quality.
  • Select the preferred translation and provide a written justification for the decision.
  • Review audio files and corresponding transcriptions for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Assess transcription quality and audio quality according to project guidelines.
  • Complete assigned samples independently and within established timelines.
  • Follow project and client guidelines strictly.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in Malay, both written and spoken.
  • Strong written communication skills in Malay.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Background in linguistics, translation, or language quality assessment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and consistency.
  • Familiarity with Romanized script conventions for the relevant language is a plus.
  • Comfort working on a freelance contract basis for a 2-week project.
  • Availability to work remotely from Malaysia.
