Description

  • Perform copy-editing and on-demand translation for assigned projects and accounts.
  • Provide linguistic lead support for assigned projects or accounts.
  • Maintain glossaries, style guides, work instructions, and other language resources to required quality standards.
  • Manage project queries and resolve terminology and language questions with team members.
  • Test and qualify new freelancers and language vendors as needed.
  • Train internal linguists and external partners according to account needs.
  • Communicate with clients on linguistic matters.
  • Contribute to improved localization workflows and processes.
  • Meet productivity, on-time delivery, quality KPIs, and team-manager goals.

Requirements

  • University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistic Studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Native-level Korean fluency and written and spoken English fluency.
  • 4+ years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing.
  • 2+ years of review experience.
  • Thorough understanding of localization processes.
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, CAT tools such as XTM and SDL Studio, and tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to quickly learn new localization tools and applications.
  • Knowledge of terminology in two or more subject areas.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, client communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, provide constructive feedback, train others, solve practical problems, and collaborate in a virtual team.
